The Forest is a very ethereal place. It is viewed as a life force of its own that (humans) cannot and should not interfere with.

There is a lot of evidence within the Forest that demonstrates the power (and playfulness) of spirits and the their magical habitat.
It is believed amongst the people that if the Forest is exploited it will retaliate with rage.
